I have successfully flashed my Asus WL-520GU router to the std version of the tomato mod. I have already installed optware and transmission. However, I want to save my files on a ntfs external drive. Since the std version of tomato mod does not support ntfs, can I flash my router to the 'extras' version?? Since I have already extended the routers memory through swap.

On the WL-520GU, tomato-NDUSB-1.28.8748-Ext.trx (K24 Ext build) should work. The K26 Ext is way too big.
If by swap you mean a swap file, that only helps with RAM for runtime, not FLASH where firmware is stored.
How can I mount an ntfs parition? Should I use mount or ntfs-3g? Right now, i'm using ntfs-3g however, it takes so much cpu load. almost 50% based from 'top' command results. I've used mount before, but now it doesn't work. Whenever I mount an ntfs partition it says, Invalid argument.
I also noticed that after a few minutes running, the ntfs-3g partition suddenly stops. It disappears from the processes when I issue the 'top' command. When I type in 'df', it displays "transport endpoint is <something>". Why is it so?
