well… im having some hunge problems with port forwarding and openvpn, like i said on title…
i just probably tried everything that could be a trouble forwarding a port…
it took me some day to notice that because i was busy testing everything and just playing with routing stuffs. Today i decided to forget everything and take a day off. lol
So i opened my utorrent and notice that theres something wrong… "it`s ok". i thought… i probably messed up with something that i dont remember! no. i didnt! The OpenVPN was the same. i mean, i accidentaly find that its not working (because it was my last thing to configure in my "to do" list). So, one at a time….
First the port forwarding. I tried to map using the web interface and it didnt work. Tried using upnp, nat-pmp…. with or without the dhcp server. and no. it didnt work. So, i cant guess any more tests i could do. Its very easy for me to check those open/close ports, since i have 3 wan links (using only 2 now…). so i cant isolate everything whenever i need to, but still could guess what is wrong…
one strange thing that i notice is that for local services i do "forward" some ports. ex: ssh and oVPN. i had to map to other external ports for some good reasons… :P
so, any idea??
About the OpenPVN. This one is simple… when i try to connect ANY client, the service crashes without giving any signals that could be something wrong. Tried logs, but i have to say that theres nothing there…. :/
the only thing i have is the log of the client machines and it`s always the same: "read UDPv4: Connection reset by peer (WSAECONNRESET) (code=10054)"
and the OpenVPN is no more….. it happens just after the cert checkup.
i tested the server and client configs on some other machines and asked a friend to do the same for me, just to be sure im not crazy. and the result is positive. i could connect…
So, what could be the reason for these "crashes"?
I appreciate any helps! i will be using these 2 things everyday, so…..
