My printing via TomatoUSB seems to be taking too long to communicate and print. It consistently takes more than 60 seconds for a simple text-only file to print.
I have an Asus RT-N16 with Build 47 - Ext installed. I have USB core, USB2.0, USB1.1 (OHCI & UHCI), USB Printer, Bidirectional copying, USB Storage, EXT2/3, FAT & NTFS all enabled. My printer is a HP C4400 USB printer. I am printing from Leopard and Snow Leopard.
(I know it should work more quickly w/ p910nd, as I had it connected to my hacked Buffalo NAS device running that print server - and it would take about 15-25 seconds.)
Watching the processes via top, I see that it seems to take at least 50-60 seconds for the p910nd process to move up to the top of the list (and become active).
Is there some way to change this?
EDIT: It seems to print almost immediately from Linux/Ubuntu. This may be an issue of interaction between SnowLeopard, its own built-in CUPS, and p910nd. Ideas, anyone?
