Has anyone of you got a usb soundcard to work with a k2.6? There are some tutorials for k2.4 firmwares (openwrt and oleg) but I haven't found one for 2.6. Any advice?

I have the same problem. I've been trying to set it up with Oleg's firmware, dd-wrt & tomato, but i can't find soundcore or usb-audio for K2.6. K2.4 is not an option as i have RT-N16.
i'm running alsa on k26 (custom build) with 1$ usb soundcard.
you have to load modules:
usbcore, soundcore, snd, snd-hwdep, snd-seq-device, snd-rawmidi, snd-usb-lib, snd-page-alloc, snd-timer, snd-pcm, snd-usb-audio
( if your modules.dep file includes snd-usb-audio simply execute: modprobe snd-usb-audio )
then you have to create audio devices. easiest way to do this is to execute snddevices script found in this package.
Thanks mpk! And is it possible to get somewhere ready packages like kmod-* for Tomato 1.28 (K126.96.36.199)? I have no desktop linux and enough experience to get it compiled from sources. Or maybe you can share these modules compiled?
rt-n16 btw is R2, right?
is it because of another architecture (…)?
maybe. i don't know much about kernel modules portability.
probably best thing for you to do is to install linux on virtual machine and build tomato yourself. it's quite simple task.
Could you please give some more information (or a link) on how to build soundcore etc.? I am able to build to tomato but I am not quite sure how to build an additional kernel module.
Any help is more than welcome. Thank you very much!
if you are able to build tomato with standard setup then you are just few steps away from including sound support.
i'm doing it this way:
cp config_base .config
cp .config config_base
