I would like to configure my router as a bridge (at least as I understand it). I get a DHCP address from my ISP over which is ported my public subnet. I configure the LAN with the gateway address for my subnet. routerB is assigned a public IP from my subnet, and serverA is assigned a different public IP from my subnet. I may expand to more servers in the future (hence the reason I am not just using a DMZ).
I disabled wireless capabilities…. I just wanted a gigabit router for wired traffic only. (side note…. I am only getting about 300 Mbit since applying tomato. I was getting about 700-800 Mbit before. In about a week they will replace the fiber switch I am on (connected to a 10 Gigabit uplink) as I am not getting expected speads).
Anyway, I can get out fine and browse the net, run services (VPN to my work), etc,…. nothing can get back in though (smtp, imap, http/https, and so on).
VLAN 1 covers all of my LAN ports
VLAN 2 covers the WAN port
DHCP disabled on LAN (I just configure statically on this router)
Gateway address configured for LAN (br0)
In gateway mode
Not sure what other settings one may want. Anyway, I have gone through the settings multiple times. I am not sure what I have misconfigured.
Thanks in advance.
