I'm pretty well versed in DD-WRT but new to Tomato. Bought a Netgear R6400 and flashed Tomato last week. Everything has been smooth except this for me and I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. I need to be able to access my router web UI over WAN. I have a DDNS through afraid.org and I've done this for about a year with DD-WRT.
In Tomato Web UI on Administration > Admin Access I've configured it as such:
Local Access: HTTP & HTTPS (80, 443)
Remote Access: HTTPS (8080) (for now, once I get this thing working I'll use a less obvious port)
Allow Wireless: Y
For SSH Daemon:
Enable at Statup: Y
Remote Access: Y
Remote Port: (22)
Remote Forwarding: Y
Allow password: Y
From my office across town in a web browser trying to use https to connect to my DDNS at port 8080 returns nothing. SSH to my DDNS at port 22 is also dead. I've already done an NSLOOKUP to be sure my DDNS is functioning properly. My port forwards are working, I can RDP to my home media server no problem and my PLEX is up. I can admin the router via remote desktop from within the LAN but not directly over WAN which is my goal.
