I finally put Tomato firmware Version 1.28 by shabby on my Asus RT-AC68U router, because the Merlin fork after all this time, well my router was slowing down.
I want to be able to SAVE the whole bandwidth to a 32GB Flash drive in USB2 that has been formatted with FAT on my iMac OS X 10.11.2
I see the router in Finder and the Transcend Flash drive
How do I get it to save the bandwidth on the flash?
I see A FILE there but it is in the .GZ extension, so when I click it it become a UNIX executable. I look at that file with TEXTEDIT (it is only 40K) and it shows NOTHING
Comcast is screwing me and 3 months ago,I used on my cable internet 128GB, 2 months ago 120 GB used, last month….390GB used, so IF THEY COULD that would mean 50GB @ $10 each, so another $20 on my cable bill. I am so ready to cut the cable TV out of the bill but for true "unlimited" cable net, that would mean $108.95 ($78.95 + $30 for 'unlimited') a month for net only. I pay $144/mo w/tax for HD Tv (2 boxes and 2 SD boxes with HBO). So I would be screwing myself to save $40 a month, well my kid who likes to watch TV. anyway……
I complained and complained to them that there meter is wrong, they said NO IT'S NOT
So I need to have PROOF that what comes out of my network OR comes into it, I can see the amount used
Comcast is going to screw everybody and I want to be able to prove that I am NOT in the "excessive user" group
so can someone please give me a step by step
thank you
