I have 2 VPN clients running, each connecting to a different server. For client1, I have set it so that all .com and .ca traffic are redirected through that client. For client2, I have it set so that speedtest.net and netflix.com are redirected through that client.
Everything works beautifully, I can stream youtube videos and netflix movies like nobody's business. The problem I am having is that regular old file downloads are SLOOOOOOOW at somewhere like 200kbps. Naturally, I would think that file downloads from .com or .ca would pass through client1 VPN.
When I do a speedtest on client1, I max out my speed at around 40Mbps. I'm not sure why regular file downloads are slow. I have tested downloading the same files with/without VPN and the difference is like night and day.
I have overclocked my router to 1200MHz CPU / 800MHz RAM and I have cut-through forwarding enabled.
I'm not sure what else to try. My routing table is very minimal, just enough to do the job.
