Hello, all - I've been scouring the forums and network for an answer to this and haven't come across it, so please forgive if I'm asking a duplicate question.
I've an ASUS RT-N66U with dual radios. My internet access is currently tethered through my mobile provider as an access point on my mobile device. I'm trying to establish a local private network using the tethering AP as the gateway only.
I have only the one N66, and I would truly prefer not to purchase a second one simply to use the ethernet patch hack for repeating.
So my question is this: is it possible to put one radio (e.g., the 2.4GHz) in Wireless Client mode and the second (5GHz, in this thought exercise) in AP mode, and then bridge the two networks, routing all non-local (i.e., Internet) traffic through mobile AP? If so, how do I make that happen?
Thanks very much in advance for your help!
