Hello guys, i know of Tomato for a while now, i tried it a few months ago but had the Problem that the Router had frequently disconnects on all devices, also crashes. So i reverted back to the normal Asus-WRT with its very limited functionality. Since a few days i flashed Tomato (Shibby) again and it works flowlessly on terms of stability. My Problem now is that i cant get the same WIFI range than with the orginginal Firmware. Can you help me out with this?
*NO other wifis in the near proximity , although a cordless phone (on cable network)
*at near ranges there is no problem with connection but devices further away do have problems with Connection is dropping and packet loss
*Worst devices have a signal strength of around -80dbm , (i read this is really bad)
*Tried flickering around with Transmit Power (tryed from 1 -400 mW) it seems to make no difference at all?!?! , or does it need sometime to get newest information, or to set up?
yeah thats pretty much it, everything from the router councern working good, samba usb share, Static dhcp, Bandwith & IP Traffic monitoring… but the wifi range is not really close to that of orgiginal firmware… can you please help me`?
