I've spent some hours reading forums and messages, and can't quite figure out how to get the bandwidth usage logs saving onto the USB. Thank you in advance for your help!
Using Tomato Shibby 1.28 with an RT-N66U router and a USB flash drive connected to the router. (I use a Mac which I'll want to connect to the network usb drive to download and read the logs).
- USB and Nas -> USB support is all activated and I see the USB Flash Drive is mounted as Storage Host 5.
- USB and NAS -> File Sharing — Username, Password, Workgroup, all setup and all USB Partitions set to Read/Write access. I've setup an "additional share" as — Share name = logs, Directory = /logs/ with read and write access. I've also created a folder called logs on the flash drive itself before connecting to the router.
- Administration -> CIFS Client — /cifs1 is enabled, UNC = \\192.168.1.5\logs\ (I'm not sure what that IP address is supposed to be set to. I assume any IP is ok as it designates itself one? Or does this correspond to "Storage Host 5" under USB support where the Flash Drive is mounted?) Netbios name is empty, and Username and Password is filled in. Security = default NTLM.
- I've noticed at the bottom in yellow it always says "Mounting" as if it can never mount it. The total/free size is never indicated — hence there's a problem here somewhere…
Can anyone spot my error?
Thank you for your help!
