I need a little bit of guidance on setting up my secondary router. I tried to search the forum but didnt got to a post which provided me the needed answers (or did not recognize them as such).
I have a Modem Connected to my main Router 1 (D-link Dir-655). To this router I want to connect a secondary router running a VPN client. This client is to provide internet access for my smart tv.

I have a secondary router 2 linksys E2500 v3 with tomato build tomato-E2500v3USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-124-Mega-VPN on it. Flash worked good.
I would like to connect my smart tv to this secondary router using the VPN client to connect to internet while the rest of the network served via the main router connects to internet without the client. I have tried but not been successful.
First it is not clear if I should setup a LAN-LAN connection between my main router and the secondary router or a LAN-WAN.
Secondly it is not clear to me how to set the WAN and LAN settings on the secondary router.
Thirdly I do not know if i need to make any setting chances to the main router to allow the VPN tunneling to work.
I first tried the LAN-LAN. In the settings of the secondary router i disabled the WAN and put the IP of the o-bridge to 192.168.0.150. This allowed the smart tv to connect to internet but not via the VPN client. I'm not sure why that was. When i setup my VPN Tunneling I had to use a IP address instead of the provided URL. When using the URL the status window showed that the service was not running. Only with an IP did i get a status overview. Unfortunately all values remained on zero. The router 1 was connected via the LAN port to the LAN port of router 2.
For the LAN-WAN setup i activated DHCP in the WAN settings of the secondary router and put the LAN IP to 192.168.1.1. I also connected the Router 1 LAN to the internet port of router 2. This didnt work at all. Smart tv did not connect to internet and i could not connect to the admin part of the secondary router.
If somebody could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.
