I've changed the firmware on my rt-ac68u to tomato version 124. I'm having a problem with accessing internal servers from external addresses.
For example, I have a domain pointed to a dynamic DNS server pointing to my IP. This is verified by a ping test:
xxx@xxxx:~$ ping xxxx.xxxx.com
PING xxxx.xxxx.com (124.168.xxx.xxx) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from wan-ip (124.168.xxx.xxx): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=1.58 ms
The problem I have is when I connect to specific ports when using the external address from within the internal network, they establish a connection but don't transfer any data. However when I disable wifi on my phone and connect to them from an external network (a 3g connection on my phone) I am able to connect with no problems. This occurs with all services (SSH/OpenVPN/Subsonic).
Is there something I need to change in the router that is disabling the connection to internal devices from the external address? I had no problems with my previous router. The connections all work fine if I use the internal address of my server.
