Hi ,
I am new here, so hello to everyone.
Please don't shoot me if I ask my question in a wrong place…
I want to limit bandwidth for some users on my network (my brother in law is downloading torrents all day long) using the shibby's tomato on linksys wrt54gl.
Unfortunately it does not work for me. Can you please tell me, could it be because of my setup?
I have a uk sky br101 connected to the internet;
Than, I have a linksys wrt54gl(A) conected to br101, LAN to LAN.
Finally I have a third router connected to wrt54gl(A), it is also wrt54gl(B) LAN to LAN through tp-link powerline adapters.
br101 - dhcp server, wifi turned off , first router connected to internet 192.168.0.1 (dhcp range 0.2-0.248)
54gl(A) wifi on , no dhcp 192.168.0.250
54gl(B)wifi on (the same ssid and pswd to A), no dhcp.192.168.0.249
The users I want to limit are conected to 54gl(B). I tried to play with QoS first, than with bandwidth limiter, but it doesn't work.
I tried to do it on router A and B.
Is it possible to use BL on my setup?
Would it change anything if I connect 54gl(A) to sr101 LAN to WAN?
