Hi guys i m new here and i have somewhat of a problem my router is an Asus WL500g deluxe and i m connecting to wireless internet ap, so it happens that i receive a signal quality of 26/27 but when i connect the speed starts at 54mbps and descends to 11mbps using tomato shibby can anybody help? thanks :)

Does it work better if you connect to the service provider's access point using your laptop ? If that access point is directly serving a residential area with Wi-Fi then the slowing problem is more likely the access point slowing the connection rate due to all of the various traffic it has to deal with.

i m not using a laptop i m using a desktop connected by lan cable to the router that s picking up the signal
