Build 52 (beta 23 for kernel 2.6-based builds) is available for download.

This is a bug fix release - it includes several important fixes for bugs introduced in the previous build 51.

Please read the Changelog for more details.

NOTES:

When upgrading Netgear routers from previous build 51, you will get an error message "Error writing fake Netgear CRC". Don't worry about it - just wait for a couple minutes for router to reboot, and the new firmware will be loaded anyway, regardless of this error.

A few new options are now automatically added to the default Dnsmasq configuration file, so if you have the same options in the Dnsmasq Custom Configuration box, you need to remove them to avoid errors starting Dnsmasq. The new options are:

log-async

all-servers (<- you can still override it with "strict-order" option in Custom Configuration box)

cache-size (<- DNS Cache Size is now configurable via GUI)

Build 51 (beta 22 for kernel 2.6-based builds) is available for download.

This is mostly a bug fix release - I tried hard not to introduce any serious new features in this build. Hopefully, that helped not to create many new bugs (but a few slipped in for sure).

Most notable changes in this release are:

Routing and firewall rules fixes for PPTP/L2TP connections, MPPE/MPPC support.

Fixed an old bug in K26 conntrack introduced when initially porting Tomato to kernel 2.6, and which could have caused all kinds of weird and inconsistent issues.

Many bug fixes, and hopefully some performance gain too…

Please read the Changelog for more details.

Build 50 (beta 20 for kernel 2.6-based builds) is available for download.

Although there are still some known issues I need to research further and resolve (see, for example, forum threads regarding DIR-320 router, MiniDLNA, and a few others), I still wanted to get a new build out as soon as possible.

First of all, it contains a few very important changes: fix for Media Server deleting all your media files, fix for DNS rebinding protection disabling some legitimate services and change to make this protection optional. Also, there are some new features I would like to get a feedback and bug reports about (Web Monitor, dual-band support) - it's always better to address bugs earlier, before the cause gets obscured behind lots of new changes…

Please read the Changelog to find out more.

Some of you probably noticed that I have not been answering any questions recently - neither on this forum, nor on http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums.

Unfortunately now I have other - more important - matters to take care of, and will not be able to spend as much time on this project as before. I'm not abandoning the project - but the development is going to significantly slow down for a while, and I won't provide as much support on the forums as I used to.

Please help each other, and don't hesitate to share your knowledge by creating a new tutorial or a feature documentation.
